Paul Tibert – Bass and Soundman

Paul grew up in Northboro, Massachusetts.  He learned how to play some guitar in junior high.  In his senior year of high school, he was the sound man for a local classic rock cover band called “Elation.”  In the 1980s, Paul spent time riding the waves at numerous Grateful Dead concerts.  He is an avid listener of a wide variety of musical styles with a strong affinity for live music.  Because of his love of the mountains and the water, Paul moved his family to Camano Island in 1993, to pursue his hobby of climbing and backpacking.  Paul has stumbled his way through a multitude of instruments over the years (violin, banjo, bagpipes, mandolin, and guitar) until finally landing on the bass in April 2005.  He has been a member of Acoustic Detour ever since.
