Cathy Tibert - Vocals, Flute, Guitar, and Harmonica

Cathy grew up in Ossining, New York and started playing flute at around age 10,  and guitar at age 11.  Cathy grew up in a musical family, with her mom always singing old songs around the house,  and her father and brother playing guitar.  She developed a love of singing early on, listening to music such as James Taylor, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, and Simon and Garfunkle.  She played flute in the high school  band and in twelfth grade sang lead and harmony in a local garage band called, "Thirteenth Floor."  She has continued to play music and sing through the years.  Cathy left Vermont with her husband and son and moved to Camano Island in 1993.  In 1995 , Cathy started performing as part of the duo "Somebody's Mother."  In 2005, they added a band and formed, Somebody's Mother and the Acoustic Detour.   In 2007, she became one of the five current members of Acoustic Detour.
